At that time, each household had only one outlet for a light bulb, and this was shared among households so that household appliances such as irons could be used. In today's terminology, this is exactly what a "lifehack" is. In today's terms, this product was truly a "life hack.
We have continued to develop our business in the field of electrical equipment for homes, offices, hotels, and other facilities.

This is the third year of Electric Works' accelerator program.

Through our efforts over the past two years, I have sensed that there has been a gradual change in attitudes toward the Open Innovation Program throughout the company.

First of all, by conducting co-creation activities with startups that are very sensitive to social changes and corresponding issues, we have seen a significant change in a positive sense in the awareness of employees in charge of business divisions participating in the program.

By distributing presentations of the program's results in a form that can be viewed by employees throughout the company, we feel that the significance and importance of the Open Innovation Program is becoming more widespread among employees other than those in charge of the business units involved in the program.

We have also received feedback from the startups that took part in the program that, through their participation, they have been able to accelerate their own operations due to the enthusiasm of the employees, which exceeded what they had expected from Electric Works. We believe that the program has also contributed to the enhancement of Electric Works' branding image.

Based on these results, we believe that the Accelerator Program is a meaningful initiative that should be continued as an ongoing activity.

This year, as in the previous year, we plan to expand the field of co-creation by soliciting co-creation themes from each business division, setting themes that transcend divisions, and collaborating with overseas startups.

We are looking forward to seeing even more results produced through co-creation than in the previous year.
